Are you ready to dive in?
Success is planned. The road to success may look different to each of us, but being successful requires S.M.A.R.T. goals and a personal plan of action on how to achieve those goals.
Two keys to success are discipline and consistency. A successful life requires determination and work. There’s a concept in Japanese culture that talks of resilience, “Nana Korobi ya Oki”, which means “falling down seven times, stand up eight.”
Proverbs 24:16 also talks about that. This proverb is related to our attitudes toward failures–which are part of success. The proverb suggests never giving up on your dreams.
If you have a vision stick to it and walk towards it, but never stop.
Similarly, thee is the concept of “Gambaru”; another Japanese word with a literal meaning of “sticking to the task with tenacity until it is completed”. Embedded in that word is intrinsic motivation.
Having a strong spiritual life is a game-changer in achieving success and being able to shape what some would call failures as an opportunity to reflect and grow.
When your spiritual foundation is strong, you can identify your purpose in a way that resonates with who God has shaped you to be. So, grow in your faith and hear the voice of God. Follow him where He is directing you.
If you’re not sure about where He’s directing you, check out my guide on how to identify your purpose. This guide will help you discover what sets you apart and will help you start the journey of finding your passion and living life as a master of your God-given destiny.
What Success Looks Like for High-Achieving Women
There is a quote by Harriet Beecher Stowe that says, “Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.”
For women who want a successful life and go after big things, these are words of wisdom that we can easily live by.
In my life, I understand having a list of things you want to accomplish because they’re personal to your own wants and desires. I shared some of that in my interview with VoyageLA. Even now, I still pursue my dreams because I know they’re tied to my calling and that my calling is my purpose from God.
Personal Development for High-Achieving Women
Women have the capacity to conquer. Women are born leaders. With whatever choices we make, we adapt to life with a distinctive style of ease and grace that often seems natural.
For women like us, we should place a priority on our GSA Factor:
Growth, Success, Acceleration.
There are four key areas within our GSA: physical, social, spiritual, and emotional. All of these need to be kept nourished for us to walk in our calling with boldness.
Understanding your GSA Factor will help you to develop habits for strong personal growth to become your best self. Our GSA Factor is how we can dive deep into helping ourselves grow internally so that we are ready for opportunities externally. When we develop our GSA Factor, we start to see setbacks and successes as seeds of a new beginning.
